GALIMED clinical intelligence
One rule governs every one of these modules: GALIMED never makes a diagnosis
and never prescribes. Every automated output is a documented suggestion,
attached to its evidence, requiring validation by a named clinician. This is not a
statement of intent: it is enforced in the code and checked by automated tests on
every release.
What is the intelligent patient record?
A single record bringing together history, allergies, immunisations, medications,
diagnoses, procedures, admissions, consultations, family history, vital signs,
documents, laboratory results and imaging exams.
The Timeline places all of it on one chronological axis.
It stores nothing: it is derived from the record, so the two cannot drift apart.
How does the consultation assistant (Ambient AI) work?
With the patient's explicit consent, GALIMED transcribes the consultation and
prepares drafts: summary, clinical note, patient-facing report,
draft referral and follow-up proposal.
Consent is a precondition for opening a session, not an option: consent omitted
counts as refused. Nothing stops being a draft until the doctor signs, and the
signature carries their name.
What is care gap detection?
GALIMED follows the patient through the care system and flags what is missing:
an abnormal result never reviewed, a missing post-discharge follow-up, an overdue
chronic condition review, a long-term medication never reassessed, a referral left
open, an analysis awaiting clinical validation.
The rules are explicit and readable rather than handed to a model:
on a care pathway, a clinician must be able to read the exact reason for an alert.
Each finding produces a "review suggested", never a conclusion.
Does GALIMED interpret X-rays and MRI scans?
No. The imaging centre handles requests, scheduling, reports and
images for X-ray, CT, MRI, ultrasound and mammography, with an architecture ready
for PACS. No automatic interpretation is produced, and the platform says so
explicitly rather than implying a capability that is not there.
Where do I find the patient record, the review queue and imaging?
Four screens, reachable from the navigation bar of the doctor and hospital
dashboards:
patient record for the consolidated
record and its timeline,
clinical review for the
queue of records needing attention,
consultation
assistant for note taking, and
imaging centre for
exams and their reports.
Each screen has its own guided tour, in English and French, from the "Tutorial"
button at the bottom right.
How do I sync my appointments with Outlook or Google Calendar?
From the doctor dashboard, the "Sync my calendar" card: generate a subscription
link, then paste it into your calendar.
Outlook: Calendar › Add calendar › Subscribe from web.
Google Calendar: Other calendars › From URL. Apple Calendar and
Microsoft 365 accept the same link.
The sync runs one way: your calendar receives, GALIMED stays the source.
By default no patient name leaves GALIMED — your calendar only
shows "Consultation". You can lift that restriction, but a synced calendar often
ends up on a personal phone: do it knowingly. The link can be revoked at any
time.
Can my data be used for research?
Only if you consent, and you may object at any time:
objection always overrides an earlier consent.
Research datasets contain no direct identifiers: subjects are designated by a
pseudonym derived from a secret salt, only explicitly allowed fields are exported,
and every export is logged and attributed to its requester.
What happens if data is lost?
Both databases, European and American, are backed up every 4 hours with
7 days of retention, on geo-redundant storage.
Recovery has actually been tested, not merely configured: a restore drill replays
the data into disposable containers and compares every document against the
original. The last drill restored 446 documents identically across both continents.
An application-level deletion is repaired in under an hour. Loss of the Azure
account goes through Microsoft support, since the backup is periodic rather than
continuous: expect a few hours to one business day.
Where is my health data hosted?
Accounts declared in the United States are hosted in the United States, all
others in the European Union, on two separate databases with no
replication from one region to the other. European health data resides in
France Central, the region within Microsoft's HDS scope.
GALIMED runs on Microsoft Azure, an HDS-certified host. GALIMED does not claim HDS
certification for itself.
Frequently Asked Questions
How much does an AI scan cost for a patient?
Free: 2 AI scans per week included in the free plan.
Paid: Beyond 2 scans/week, each additional scan costs €3 (pay-as-you-go).
Doctors and establishments with subscriptions have unlimited scans.
Does AI replace a real doctor?
No. GALIMED AI provides diagnostic assistance and suggestions, but every prescription must be validated by a licensed doctor registered with the medical council. AI is a support tool, not a substitute.
How do I become a referring doctor on GALIMED?
1. Create an account with "Doctor" role
2. Subscribe to the Doctor plan (€79/month)
3. Complete your profile (photo, specialty, pricing)
4. You'll automatically appear in the doctor directory
Is my health data secure?
Yes. GALIMED uses:
• AES-256 encryption for data at rest
• TLS 1.3 for data in transit
• Azure hosting (HDS certification in progress)
• GDPR and HIPAA (US) compliance
• Secure JWT authentication
• Complete audit logs
Can I use GALIMED for teleconsultation?
Yes. Doctors and establishments can create secure teleconsultation rooms from their dashboard. Patients can join via a simple link. HD video, integrated chat, screen sharing for exam results.
What's the difference between Doctor and Hospital plans?
Doctor (€79/month): 1-5 practitioners, ~200 scans/month, teleconsultation, PDF prescriptions.
Hospital/Lab/Pharmacy (€299/month): Up to 50 users, unlimited scans, dedicated business dashboards, API integration, continuous monitoring, 24h support. Beyond 50 users: +€5/user.
How do I cancel my subscription?
You can cancel anytime from your dashboard → Subscription → Cancel. Access remains active until the end of the paid period. Refund within 30 days if unsatisfied (see T&Cs).
What is the Patient Premium subscription and how much does it cost?
The Patient Premium subscription at €9.90/month (or €95/year) includes:
• 30 AI scans/month (vs. 2 free/week on a free account)
• 5 prescription transmissions for doctor validation included/month (vs. €5 per request on free)
• 10 directory contacts/month to reach doctors, hospitals and labs
• Unlimited history, PDF prescriptions, priority teleconsultation access
Beyond quotas: €3/additional scan · €5/additional validation (deducted from your credits balance).
How does prescription transmission for doctor validation work?
After an AI scan, GALIMED generates an unvalidated draft prescription. To have it validated by a doctor:
1. Click "Submit for medical validation" from the scan result
2. Choose a doctor from the GALIMED directory
3. The system deducts €5 (500 credits) or uses your monthly quota if you are a Premium subscriber
4. The doctor reviews the prescription and validates or modifies it
5. You receive the validated, signed PDF prescription
Note: the doctor's full contact details are only visible after confirming the contact request.
How many contacts can I make with doctors or hospitals?
Directory contacts (doctors, hospitals, laboratories) are available for Premium subscribers only:
• Monthly plan (€9.90/month): 10 contacts/month
• Annual plan (€95/year): 120 contacts/year (10/month)
• Free account: 0 contacts included
Each click on "Confirm contact request" uses 1 quota. Quotas reset on the 1st of each month. Your remaining contacts are displayed in your dashboard.
How does the revenue sharing between GALIMED and doctors work?
GALIMED uses an automated revenue sharing model:
• 70% of each Patient Premium subscription stays with GALIMED
• 30% (~€2.97 per subscribed patient) goes into a monthly pool redistributed to doctors, hospitals and labs
How is this pool divided?
Each professional's share is proportional to the number of contacts/clicks they received from subscribed patients that month. E.g. a doctor receiving 40% of contacts this month gets 40% of the pool.
Minimum payout threshold: €10. Below this, the balance is carried over to the next month. Professionals see their balance in real time on their dashboard.
I am a doctor/hospital — how do I receive my GALIMED payouts?
Your revenue sharing balance is visible in your GALIMED dashboard. Payment is triggered automatically once your balance exceeds
€10.
Current phase: manual SEPA bank transfer to your registered IBAN, processed on the 1st of each month.
Phase 2 (coming soon): Stripe Connect integration for automatic instant transfers.
